Dear Swanson Family

We were sad to read of Swan's passing. We were neighbors many years ago and shared a good friendship with "Coke" and the children.

My deepest sympathy to the entire Swanson family. I remember Mr. Swanson as a kind and religious man. When I was younger I would often be over the house visiting with his daughter Andrea...good childhood memories.

I cannot pass a yard sale without thinking of Swanie. I have a wonderful book collection of dog stories, horse stories and books about Native Americans that Swanie sent to me through the years when he found them at a "tag sale". He treated me like another daughter when my bother Ed married Beverly, and I feel like I lost a father. My heart is with you, Marie.

To the Swanson family,

I worked with Swan at Sikorsky for several years in the mid-Seventies and have never met a finer, more principled man.

Saddened this morning to read of his passing, I am nonetheless positive that he is enjoying the reward promised for a life lived well.

Sincerely,

Bill Plankey
