Thomas O'Hara Obituary

OHARA Thomas P. O2Hara, age 69, of Fairfield, died Thursday, January 23, 2003 as St. Vincent2s Medical Center, Bridgeport. Thomas was the beloved husband of Helene O2Hara. Born in Fairfield he was the son, of the late Francis and Mary (Sweeney) O2Hara and was a lifelong town resident. Mr. O2Hara enjoyed sports and the company of his family. He was a graduate of Roger Ludlow High School and was employed by Bruce2s Landscaping Service. He had previously been employed by the Borden Dairy Co. and the Frank Dawid Construction Co. Thomas was a communicant of St. Anthony2s Church and also a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians. In addition to his wife he is survived by his devoted daughter, Maureen O2Hara of Fairfield; three sisters, Mary Douglas of Fairfield, Margaret O2Hara of Fairfield and New York and Alice Daly of Newtown. He is also survived by a brother, James O2Hara of Fairfield; 20 nieces and several great nieces and nephews. He was the grandfather of the late Stephanie O2Hara and the brother, of the late John O2Hara and Francis O2Hara II. Funeral service will be held Monday, January 27, 2003, at 9 a.m. in the Spear Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield, and at 10 a.m. in St. Anthony Church for Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery. Friends may call in the Spear Funeral Home on Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m.
