Thomas Schulz Obituary

SCHULZ Thomas "Tom" Michael Schulz, age 86, a resident of Annapolis, Md. and previously of Fairfield, died September 3, 2008 after a lengthy illness. Born February 02, 1922 in Brooklyn, N.Y., he graduated from St. Augustine High School and from New York University with a Bachelors of Science degree in business and foreign trade. He was employed as an international executive sales manager for Remington electric shavers, then as a national sales manager of G.E. small appliance division and finally as president and founder of Fountain Products in Connecticut. He served in the United States Army during World War II. He was a community advocate in Bridgeport for Bridge House, Inc., which is a program to help the mentally ill. He was a member of the Masons Lodge, American Legion. Tom was very active at his church. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Audrey E. Schulz; his children, Thomas Schulz, Jr of Wallingford, Eileen Shalvoy of Southbury, Jo Ann Wells of Severna Park, Md., Marilyn Glover of West Hartford, Nancy Sedensky of Newtown and Ann Marie Reardon of The Woodlands, Texas; his sister, Mary Malley of Rockaway Point, N.Y.; also survived by 14 grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Hospice of the Chesapeake, 445 Defense Highway, Annapolis, MD 21401 or the American Cancer Society, South Atlantic Division, Inc., Attn: Memorial Gifts, 4240 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060.
