Veronica A. Sokolowski
Veronica A. Sokolowski, age 92, of Stratford, beloved wife of the late Richard Sokolowski, passed away on April 25, 2022, at Cambridge Manor Health Center, Fairfield. Veronica was born in Barnesboro, Pennsylvania to the late John and Helen (Grich) Hovanec and had been a longtime area resident. She was employed by Remington Arms, Sears Roebuck and retired from St. Vincent's Medical Center and was a member of their Retirees Club. Veronica was also a member of the Slovak Catholic Sokols, the Jednota Society, and the Ladies Guild and the Linus Group, both at Holy Name of Jesus Church. Survivors include her devoted daughters, Debbie Scott and her husband Robert of Stratford, DeDe Zhao and her husband Alex of Milford, and Linda Lauricella and her husband Bill of Monroe, son-in-law, Arthur Bibbins of Oxford, 5 cherished grandchildren, Justin and Joshua Scott, Ashley and Nicholas Lauricella, and Ryan Zhao, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her beloved husband and parents, Veronica was predeceased by her daughter, Donna Bibbins and several siblings. Friends and family may visit on Friday, April 29th from 4-7 p.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Aril 30th at 10:00 a.m. meeting directly at St Agnes Church, 400 Merwin Ave., Milford.
