Vincent Lozinak Obituary

Vincent J. Lozinak
Vincent J. Lozinak, age 67, of Norwalk, died suddenly at his home. Vinny was born May 31, 1951 in Bridgeport, son of Mary Ann (Bruchac) Lozinak and the late Vincent Nicholas Lozinak.
He served two tours of duty as a member of the 2nd Squadron, 17th Cavalry, 101st Airborne Division (Air Mobile), during the Vietnam War. In July of 1970, Vincent would distinguish himself as a crew chief and door gunner on a UH-1H helicopter during an extraction mission in the Khe Sahn Plains. He was later awarded the Air Medal for bravery. Vincent enjoyed music, reading and painting. Survivors include his mother Maryann (Bruchac) Lozinak, five brothers and one sister: Wayne Lozinak of Easton, Victor Lozinak of Milford, Richard and Melinda Lozinak of Newtown, Steven and Jane Lozinak of Fairfield, Michael and Dia Lozinak of Fairfield and Marilyn (Lozinak) Wolf and her husband Edward of Derby. Vincent is also survived by six nephews and one niece: Wayne Lozinak of Bridgeport, Emily and Nick Lozinak of Fairfield,
Robert and William Wolf of Derby and Dillon Lozinak of Newtown. Per the family's wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral service.
