Vito Furio Obituary
Vito Furio, age 74, of Trumbull, passed away August 25, 2023 at St. Vincent's Medical Center. He was born in Italy, son of the late Guiseppe and Donata Furio. He graduated from St. Georgio Maritime Acadmey in Genoa, Italy. Vito was a retired Captain for Messina Line.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Elaine Succurto Furio; his brothers Franco and his wife Melina Furio and Marco and his wife Lena Furio all of Italy; and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by four brothers and one sister.
Friends and family are invited to attend his funeral services on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. directly at at St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main St., Trumbull, CT. Interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Kennedy Center, 2440 Reservoir Ave., Trumbull, CT 06611, or to the charity of one's choice. Arrangements entrusted to the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Rd., Trumbull, CT. To leave an online condolence, please visit www.mullinsfh.com .
