Steven Furio Obituary
Steve was born August 16, 1953 in Babylon, New York to Victor J. and Mary Paschetto Furio.
Growing up, Steve was a champion in BB gun competitions as well as a champion high school wrestler and football player. Steve lived in California, New York, Idaho, and Washington state as well as Germany. Steve graduated from Blackfoot High School in Idaho and joined the US Army. He was stationed in Germany in a missile unit, which is for high IQ servicemen. Upon receiving an honorable discharge from the army, he attended a year course in computer repair and later graduated with honors. He attended a welding school and graduated.
Steve was married two times with each marriage bearing a son.
He enjoyed fishing, skiing, collecting rare coins, breeding and raising poodles and country cruising on his various motorcycles.
Steve is survived by his sons, Chris Furio (Jaclyn) of Springfield, Idaho and Steve Furio Jr. (Momoko) of Long Beach, Washington; his brother Victor Furio (Welma) of Firth, Idaho and sister Patricia Jensen (Leon) of Blackfoot, Idaho; and grandchildren Sydney Wardle (Bryce) and Audrey Furio.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor J. Furio and Mary Furio.
The family is under the care of Hawker Funeral Home. Private family services will be held at a later date.
