William D. Walsh
William D. Walsh, 92, of Charlestown, RI, passed away on October 3rd, 2025, surrounded by his loving family at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the devoted husband of 52 years to Anne M. Walsh (nee Flynn). Born in Bridgeport, CT on October 2nd, 1933, he was the son of the William Walsh and Agnes Walsh (nee Brown).
Bill was a devoted husband, a loving son, brother and uncle. He was a locomotive engineer for Amtrak for 25 years. He was a devout Catholic and a US Army veteran. Bill was a great outdoorsman, talented with his hands, and an avid reader. Despite all this he was a remarkably humble man, who understood that what you did, and how you lived, was more important than talking about it. Yet, he was also a gifted raconteur, who could tell a great family story, always with a gleam in his eye.
Besides his wife Anne, he leaves his brother-in-law, John McCormack, his sister-in-law Sally Flynn and so many nieces, nephews, their spouses and children.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Agnes, his sisters Kathleen Kisco and Lorainne McCormack, his sister-in-law Mary Flynn, his brother-in-law Robert Flynn and brother- in-law Bert Kisco.
