Emerson Dale Boyer 87, of Carlisle went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, July 21, 2014 with his loving wife by his side.
Born August 27, 1926 in Carlisle, he was a son of the late S. Gilton and Elva Russell Boyer. He spent his entire life working on the family farm along with retiring from Coyle Lumber Company. He was a member of the Carlisle First Church of God. He was a WWII veteran serving in the US Navy in the Pacific Theater.
Surviving are his wife of sixty-three years, Fay R. Wagner Boyer who were married June 3, 1951; one son, Emerson D. Boyer, Jr.; two daughters, Pamela Snoots and Tammy Boyer; three grandsons and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother and sister.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 25, 2014 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle with Rev. Michael R. Poe and Rev. Gregory L. Hench officiating. Burial will be in North Middleton Church of God Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home.
