Harold Cornman Obituary

Born Feb. 4, 1924, in North Middleton Township, Cumberland County, he was a son of the late Clarence E. and Clara (Kutz) Cornman.

He attended Boiling Springs High School and was a dairy farmer who worked his own farm in Penn Township, Cumberland County, for 54 years. Earlier he had worked for Kruger's Dairy.

He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Newville and a member of the Pennsylvania Farm Association. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Mr. Cornman is survived by his wife of 54 years, Madalyn (Kough) Cornman of Newville; a son, William H. Cornman of Newville; a daughter, Catherine J. Cornman of Newville; two brothers, Robert W. Cornman of Gardners and Leon Cornman of Carlisle; two grandsons; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Earl, Kenneth and Paul Cornman, and a sister, Marian Simmons.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with the Rev. Wayne D. Baker officiating. Burial will be in Newville Cemetery, Newville.

Friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Area Food Bank, c/o Carolyn Kough, 144 Steelstown Road, Newville, PA 17241 or to the Humane Society of Harrisburg Area Inc., Sinclair and Eppley Roads, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055.
