Janet L. Ellerman

Janet L. Ellerman, age 83, of Carlisle, passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at the West Shore Hospital, Mechanicsburg.

She was born July 7, 1933 in Carlisle to the late Donald T. and Catherine (Good) Good.

Janet was a clerk at the former McCrory's Department Store in Carlisle. She enjoyed reading, collecting angels and Boyd's Bears, crossword puzzles, coloring, reading her daily devotions and her trips to the Outer Banks. She loved to work in her yard and her visits to Hoss's Steak House. She truly loved the time spent with her loving family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Wayne E. Ellerman of Carlisle; four daughters, Susan J. (and husband Will) Keller of Carlisle, Sandra K. (and husband Tom) Lucas of Dillsburg, Catherine M. (and husband Art III) Mellott of Hagerstown, MD and Beth A. (and husband Kirby) Bream of Gardners; three sons, Steven W. (and wife Deb) Ellerman of Carlisle, Donald G. (and wife Chris) Ellerman of Newville and Jason A. (and wife Michaelle) Ellerman of Carlisle; twelve grandchildren; four great-granddaughters; one brother, Robert (and wife Judy) Good of Carlisle; and two sisters, Mary Weir of Carlisle and Joann (and husband John) Copenhaver of FL.

In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by two brothers, Phillip and Karl Good and a sister, Martha Bowermaster.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA with Rev. Daniel R. Mikesell officiating. Interment will follow at Westminster Memorial Gardens. There will be a viewing at the funeral home on Monday, November 28, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the services.
