Joseph Shank Obituary
He was born on Sept. 17, 1926, in Mt. Holly Springs to the late Joseph A. and Anna E. Spidle Shank. He was retired from Lear Corp., formerly the Masland Co., after 45 years of service.
Mr. Shank was a member of the Jehovah Witness Hall on Ritner Highway, the Mt. Holly Fish and Game Club, the Upper Adams County Fish and Game Club, the Carlisle Rifle Team, Masland Bowling League and the Carlisle Eagles Bowling League. He played softball on the former South Mountain League's Georgetown team.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Mary E. Mumper Shank; a son, Stephen "Steve" L. Shank, and his wife Roxanne of Gardners; two grandchildren, Juanita Lee Shank of Mt. Holly and Benjamin Joseph Shank of Minnesota; a great-granddaughter, Arianna Morgan Wright; a sister, Joyce Richwine of Mt. Holly Springs, a nephew and three nieces.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 30, in the Hollinger Funeral Home and Crematory, 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Holly Springs. Interment will be in Mt. Holly Springs Cemetery. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to Chapel Pointe, 770 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, PA 17013.
Arrangement are being handled by the Hollinger Funeral Home and Crematory Inc.

PAPPY JOE WAS A GOOD MAN WHO LOVED MY GRANDMA VERY MUCH, WE HAD LOTS OF GOOD TIMES. HE ALWAYS HAD SOMETHING TO SAY ABOUT EVERYTHING. HE LOVED HIS GREAT GRANDDAUGHTER. SEEING HER ALWAYS MADE HIM SMILE. NOW HE'S IN A BETTER PLACE. GOD BLESS US ALL!
