Marcia Keller Obituary

Marcia J. Coleman Keller

September 16, 2025

Marcia J. Coleman Keller, 89, died on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at UPMC Carlisle. She was the daughter of the late Paul and Micleda (Weitzel) Coleman. After the tragic death of her mother, several years later her dad married Mildred Greason, who lovingly helped to raise Marcia and her twin brother. She was married to Ken, her first and only love for 60 years before he passed on September 26, 2017.

Marcia is survived by her two sons, Barry L. and Greg L., both of Carlisle; a daughter, Diane J. Stone of Carlisle; three grandchildren: Tyler A. Stone, Austin M. Stone, and Bailey E. Stone; and a stepsister, Amber A. Kerr. She was preceded in death by her twin brother, Paul E. "Buddy" Coleman Jr. and two stepbrothers, John and William Kerr.

Marcia graduated with the Carlisle High School class of 1954 and then the Harrisburg Hospital School of Nursing, class of 1957. She spent the next many years employed at the former Carlisle Hospital, then next in the office of William L. Shelley, M.D., then Raymond Wiss, M.D. and Russell Macaluso, M.D. She retired from the old Carlisle Hospital in 1997.

She enjoyed knitting, reading, and going on bus trips with friends. The best times were riding with Ken on their Honda Gold Wing. Her family came first. She was a member of AARP #4377, Middlesex Senior Citizens, and the former Harrisburg Hospital Nurses Alumni Association. She was a member of LeTort United Methodist Church and was their pianist there for 40 plus years.

Visitations will be held in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle on Sunday, September 21, 2025, from 2:00 p.m., to 4:00 p.m., and on Monday from 11:00 a.m., until 12:00 p.m. The funeral service will begin on Monday at 12:00 p.m., at the funeral home. Pastor Kim Kelley will officiate the service. Burial will be in LeTort Cemetery, Carlisle. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
