Marlin Gibb Obituary

Marlin L. Gibb, 71, of Carlisle died Wednesday, July 7, 2010, at Carlisle Regional Medical Center.

Born Jan. 19, 1939, in Carlisle, he was a son of the late Harold B. Sr. and Ruth Bishop Gibb.

He was a graduate of Carlisle High School, class of 1957. Marlin owned and operated Gibb Financial Services of Carlisle for many years and more recently was employed at Orrstown Bank. He served in the Pennsylvania National Guard, 104th Armed Cavalry, for many years.

Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Nancy Clark Gibb; two daughters, Brenda Gibb and Barbara Willow (and husband, Mark); one sister, Doris Stewart; two brothers, Harold Gibb Jr. and Charles Gibb; and three grandchildren, Samantha, Matthew and David, all of Carlisle. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday at First United Methodist Church, 64 E. North St., Carlisle, with the Rev. Steve Gibb officiating. A visitation will be held following the service at the church.
