Reba Shunk Obituary

Reba V. Stahl Shunk, 101, of New Bloomfield, went to be with her Lord Wednesday, March 29, 2006, at Holy Spirit Hospital in Camp Hill.

She was born on Jan. 27, 1905, in Millerstown. She was the widow of George R. Shunk Sr.

She like reading her Bible, babies and hummingbirds.

She is survived by 12 children, George R. Shunk Jr., Duncannon, Cyrus D. Shunk, Marysville, Joyce A. Briner, Mechanicsburg, Mildred Martin, Newburg, John D. Shunk, New Bloomfield, Mary V. Cain, Duncannon, Reba C. Butler, Newville, Faith Shunk, New Bloomfield, Rawn Shunk, New Bloomfield, Margaret S. Evans, Carlisle, Robert H. Shunk, Shippensburg and Suzanne M. Miller, Boiling Springs; 49 grandchildren; 79 great-grandchildren; and 40 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy L. Smith; a grandson, Bradley Mitchem; two great-grandchildren, Clint Shunk and Lisa Briner; and nine brothers and sisters.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 1 in the Perry Alliance Church, 6861 Spring Road, Shermans Dale, with the Rev. Simon Lehman Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Millerstown Riverview Cemetery. Viewing will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, at the church.

Arrangements are by the Ronald C. L. Smith Funeral Home, 325 N. High St., Duncannon.
