Richard P. Haney
CARLISLE - Richard Paul "Rich" Haney, 78, of Carlisle, died Friday, August 16, 2024, at Penn State Holy Spirit Hospital.
Born In Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Thomas and Ann (Mullen) Haney and the husband of 18 years to Roseann (Beard) Haney.
Rich was a graduate of Bishop McDevitt High School and attended Philadelphia College of Textiles and Science.
He worked as a sales manager for Gibble's Snack Foods and as a store manager for Acme Markets while in Philadelphia.
After moving to Carlisle, Rich owned and operated Cruise Holidays of Carlisle with his wife, Roseann.
He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles and Philles fan and traveled extensively, with his favorite destinations being Hawaii, Europe and Jamaica.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Matthew Haney, his wife, Lauren, of New Jersey, Michele Halfpenny, her husband, Brian, of North Wales and Jeffrey Haney, of Nevada as well as his seven grandchildren: Megan, Caroline, Brynne, Gavin, Cailin, Jackson and Cassidy.
Rich was preceded in death by his brother, John Haney.
Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral service 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 24, 2024, at Hoffman Funeral & Cremation, Ltd., 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, where the family will greet guests after 11:00 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Rich's name may be made to: Churchtown Church of God, 351 Old Stonehouse Road South, Boiling Springs, PA 17007 or Project Share, 5 North Orange Street, Carlisle, PA 17013.

We were saddened to hear of the passing of Rich. He was always a pleasure to work with on our trip planning when you were not available. He was always smiling. Prayers and strength for you and your family in the days ahead.
