Dear Ellen, Hugh, and Jay: I was saddened to learn of my cousin Al's passing last month. I have many great memories of growing up just down the street from Howe Lee and Allie Frank. Auntie Van was my favorite aunt - what a tease.. I had stayed in touch with Al over the years, most recently after my sister Shirley's memorial (Al spoke - said how grateful he was that Shirley helped get he and Ellen together again). Since then we corresponded via e-mail a good bit. I'm proud to say that I hold a copy of "Finders Keepers" and an e-copy of "Losers Weepers". There was always a tone of pride when he spoke of Hugh and Jay. Al was quite a guy. I'll miss him.
