Patsy Baker Obituary
Carlsbad - Patsy Sue Baker, 79 of Birch Lane, Carlsbad, NM, passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at Landsun HSC. Graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at Carlsbad Cemetery (new section). There is no visitation. Facial coverings are required.
Patsy Sue (Cooper) Baker was born to Calvin Lee Cooper and Nannie Lee (Bullock) Cooper on January 18, 1942 in Post, Texas.
She married Elbert "Burl" Baker on January 4, 1963 in Slaton, Texas and they moved to Carlsbad later that year.
Patsy was active in VFW Post 8703 and American Legion Post 7 as well as a volunteer at Lakeview Christian Home for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband Burl, son Kelvin Baker, both parents, brothers Pete and Bill Cooper and sisters Flora Mae Page, Louise Johnston, Joann Bostick, Betty Cahoon, Evelyn Enloe and June Rinker.
Patsy is survived by her daughter Belinda Baker of Carlsbad, NM, adopted in love daughter Laurel Kehoe, granddaughter Skye Eppler and grandsons Mike Worley and Micheal Nickel, along with many special friends and her beloved dog Cooper. Condolences may be expressed at westfuneralhomellc.com
