Earl Leininger Obituary

Earl Alton Leininger, 97 of Broken Bow, passed away Monday, May 8, 2017, at Jennie M. Melham Memorial Medical Center in Broken Bow.
Services will be Friday, May 12, at 10:30 am at Faith Bible Church in Arcadia. Pastor Ray Berry will officiate. Burial will follow at the Arcadia Township Cemetery in Arcadia.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 11, from 5 - 7 p.m., at the church.
Govier Brothers Funeral Home in Broken Bow will be in charge of arrangements.
Earl Alton Leininger, the son of Robert and Myrtle (Jewell) Leininger, was born May 6, 1920 in Sherman County.
November 12, 1941, he was united in marriage to Ruth L. Traver in Broken Bow (the love of his life). The couple lived in Omaha for a short time before returning to Arcadia where he fulfilled his love of farming.
They moved to Idaho for a short time before returning to the home farm in Arcadia where he farmed, ran "Earl's Feed and Supply", and sold Golden Harvest Seed Corn, before retiring in 2013.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth; a son and daughter-in-law, Allen and Trudy Leininger of Meridan, Idaho; a daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Rod Brockman of Gretna; and a daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Dave Zauha of Broken Bow; 10 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; and many great-great-grandchildren; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Earl was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Myrtle Leininger; two brothers, Gerald Leininger and Dale Leininger; and one sister, Donna Crawford.
Earl always had a story and a twinkle in his eye.
