Jackie Burnett Obituary

Jackie "Jack" L. Burnett, 80, of Broken Bow, Neb., died Monday, Jan. 22, 2024, surrounded by family.

Jackie L. Burnett was born May 16, 1943, in Custer County to Alfred and Leota Burnett. He graduated from Broken Bow High School in 1961.

Jack spent most of his life on the farm raising cattle and riding horses. Jack enjoyed casinos, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, climbing on ladders, coffee at Tumbleweed, working on his tractor and moving snow for Broken Bow residents.

Jack is survived by his wife Jean; seven children; fourteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and sister Beverly.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents; sister Joyce; and an infant brother.

Memorial services will be Monday, Jan. 29 at 11 a.m. at Govier Brothers Mortuary in Broken Bow. Service will be livestreamed at www.govierbrothers.com. Lunch will follow at Tumbleweed Cafe, then burial at the Janesville Cemetery southeast of Berwyn at 2 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to the Burnett Family.
