Cory Bright Obituary

Cory Bright Sr., born on April 4,1980, passed away unexpectedly on September 10, 2025. He will always be remembered as one of the most caring and genuine people anyone could ever hope to meet. His kindness touched everyone around him, and his presence had a way of making others feel seen, valued, and loved. Cory's laughter was unforgettable--the kind that could light up a room and bring joy to all who heard it. Above all, Cory's greatest love was his family. He was a devoted father to his three children: Tacaryi Bright, Cory Bright Jr., and Kallista Bright. He cherished every moment with them and was endlessly proud of the people they are becoming. In addition to his children, Cory leaves behind a sister, Shaniko Humphrey, a devoted friend, Michael Norwood, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and countless friends who loved him dearly. The family is so large that it would take up an entire page just to name them all; a true reflection of how deeply connected and loved Cory was throughout his life. Cory is now reunited in Heaven with his beloved soulmate, Tracy, as well as his parents, Deborah and Sylvester Bright, his brother, Coty Bright, and his nephew, Donovan Watkins. Cory's bond with his family and loved ones was unshakable. Whether it was sharing stories, lending a helping hand, or simply being present, Cory gave selflessly of himself, always putting the happiness of others before his own. Those fortunate enough to know him will carry forward memories of his warmth, humor, and unwavering love. Though his time here was far too short, Cory leaves behind a legacy of compassion and joy that will never be forgotten. His life was a gift to all of us, and his memory will continue to inspire love and kindness for years to come.
