A TIME TO BE BORN…Lisa Valentina Wright was born August 15, 1960, to the late Robert Jackson Ellis, Sr. and Ella Mae Ellis. Lisa was the youngest of 9 children and was fondly called "Baby Sis".
A TIME TO LOVE…Forty-three years ago, on October 28, 1983, a beautiful fall day, she married Russell Amos Wright. To that union, one loving and caring son was born: Joshua Amos Wright.
A TIME TO SERVE… Lisa accepted Christ at a young age and became a devoted member of Evergreen Bible Way Church for 60 years She served under the pastoral leadership of Elder Joseph Grooms and later Bishop Steven Mason. She was baptized in the Name of Jesus and filled with the gift of the Holy Ghost early in life. Her unwavering faith in God became the foundation upon which she built her life.
Lisa served faithfully in many capacities within the church. She was a prayer warrior, often interceding for those seeking the Holy Ghost, and her anointed, angelic voice led songs that touched countless lives. As choir directress, she inspired others through music, and she taught Sunday School with great passion and dedication.
In addition to her many roles, Lisa served as the President of the Pastoral Care Committee, supporting the ministry and leadership of the church until her health no longer allowed her to continue. Her life was a testimony of faith, service, and love for God and His people.
A TIME TO SOW… Lisa received her education at Louisa County High School and later embarked on a fulfilling career with the United States Postal Services. Known for her dedication and leadership, she took pride in mentoring and training others throughout her journey. Lisa loved to dress, even on the job. As a result, her friends and co-workers called her "Hollywood." After more than 30 years of committed service, she retired, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and generosity. Lisa was an avid sports enthusiast who found great joy in watching and cheering on her favorite teams. Whether it was football, basketball, tennis, track, or especially soccer, she brought passion and energy to every game she followed.
