Dad, you were always my hero and my friend. We shared so many special memories together and always found comfort in our love of food. I'm so proud to say you served our country and with such a love of serving. You did it without hesitation and you were so humble about it too. You never bragged or boasted. No matter what was going on I could call you. I will miss those late night phone calls, and sharing recipes of Italian food. I will miss those phone calls and above all I will deeply miss you. Your legacy will live on in me, and in your friends. Don't worry I'm planning one heck of a party to honor you! So many people loved you and miss you and I will miss you everyday of my life until I see you again. And we can dance again in heaven!

Brother, I hope I did you proud yesterday and that you got the send off that you so deserved. I know that your daughters would have loved to have been there but as there are so many miles between us it is very hard. When I get back to Texas we will do something else for you in your memory. I know Katie is working on something right now. Be at peace my brother I love you, YOUR SIS❤

I've known Dave since the late 80's, and there are many things that were very clear to me - - his 3 beautiful Daughters meant the world to him. He was a very proud dad ~ so very proud! He was an awesome son, brother, and friend to so many. I never saw Dave without that beautiful smile! His smile was infectious! He was one-of-a-kind and a very kind, generous, thoughtful and loving person. I remember Dave calling me in the middle-of-the-night from Switzerland, telling me he knew I would think he was crazy, but his 'dream' was to retire, and own a New York style hot dog cart, and wanted to name it 'Angel Dogs ~ A Little Taste of Heaven.' I told him I did not think he was crazy, and sent him the DBA forms to create the assumed name. Years later, he did just that - retired, and opened a Sabrett Hot Dog cart with his Partner Kevin, and operated on the beach and The Strand in Galveston, TX. 'Dreams' do come true! I was very blessed to help him on weekends, holidays, at special events. He was so proud and wanted to make a successful business for his Daughters to one day take over. Dave never met a stranger, and everyone loved him. He was a true and loyal friend. I took this picture at one of last year's Astros vs. Yankees' game, and a 'win' that took them to the World Series. I always told him, he was the good luck charm! I know he's in Heaven with his grandparents, dad and step-dad. I miss him terribly, but know that his passing at such a young age is God's plan. Debbie and his Daughters are in my thoughts and prayers. Rest in peace, sweetie. You will remain in my heart forever.

Dave hard at work! Love u brother!

Tomorrow will be the hardest thing that I will do, is to lay my brother to rest at the Veterans Cemetary North in Williamstown, KY. David had the biggest heart a brother could have. He always thought of his family and friends. David served his Country for 20 years in the US Air Force. Then he worked 10 more years for the Govt.ill miss his phone calls everyday, we talked at least 5-6 times a day. He was always cheerful. I will miss visiting him in Texas every February and his visits to KY. My brother was a true ANGEL and I know he is in heaven smiling down on me! Be at peace DAVE, in my heart but not forgotten....
