David Probus Obituary
He was born May 19, 1978 in Harrison County, Ky., was the Director of the Felix E. Martin Jr. Hall since its opening in 2012 and was a Deacon at First Baptist Church in Greenville.
He is survived by his wife Laura Edwards Probus of Greenville; his children, Anna and William Probus of Greenville; his parents, Honorable William and Ann Probus of Versailles, Ky.; a brother, Todd (Kelly) Probus of Versailles; and nieces Eva Kate and Emma Probus of Versailles.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, Sept. 6 at 11 a.m. at Second Baptist Church in Greenville with Tom Stovall officiating and assisted by Chris Dennis. Visitation will be Tuesday, Sept. 5 after 5 p.m. at Second Baptist Church in Greenville. Graveside services and burial will be Thursday, Sept. 7 at 12 p.m. at Lexington Cemetery in Lexington, Ky.
Expressions of sympathy can be made to Felix E. Martin Jr. Hall or First Baptist Church in Greenville. Envelopes will be available at the church.

David was a deacon at my church and also helped with many plays I was in and did audio at our church too. My family and I were and still are very close to the Probus/Edwards family and it hurt my family dearly by hearing and seeing the passing of David. We love him and will never forget David. We all love and miss you dearly David! Fly high!!!

Deeply saddened to hear of David's passing. I was excited to see that he was registered to attend the Performing Arts Exchange in Atlanta later this month and was looking forward to catching up with him. Sincerest sympathy to his family. He will be greatly missed.

Laura, children, Bill, and Ann, I am so saddened to hear about the passing of David. I had the privilege of working some with David at Calvary Baptist Church in Lexington Ky. He was a nice guy and liked to play jokes on people in the youth group.He always there to help out when he could . He was a good worker and a hard one also . He will be missed by all. David was more than a teacher, mentor, and director. He was a great friend that I will forever miss. David influence my life in ways I cannot express enough gratitude for. He provided a place of solace in martin hall during and after school by allowing myself and five others to be student interns. David trusted me and the others with very important things within Martin hall that gave each of my classmates and I a sense of honor and importance. David also was always a listening ear to rant about classes or shows stress. I know that many can say that David was an influence on their life. I, along with many others, will miss David greatly. My prayers are with all of his family and friends, especially Laura, Anna and Will.

The sudden passing of David leaves us all in shock and pain.
