DAWN SMITH Obituary
She was born on Dec. 8, 1960, in Chicago. She was married to George R. Smith.
Dawn is survived by her husband, George of DeKalb; one daughter, Faye Kustaborder of DeKalb; two sons, John (Soo Mi) Pons of Georgia and Frank Pons of DeKalb; three grandchildren, Lily, Kal El and Andrew; her mother, Shirlee Garcia of Joliet; four brothers, Dennis, James, David (Veronica) and Daxx (Jessica); four sisters, Stacee (Jarnell), Norma, Josie and Frances; her loving dog, Sidney; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 14 at 1 p.m. at the local family-owned and operated Butala Funeral Home and Crematory of Sycamore, with Judy Bergeson, diaconal minister, officiating.
A memorial visitation will be on Wednesday from noon-1 p.m. at Butala Funeral Home.

George, you are in my thoughts and Prayers....keep her in your heart always. I am glad that I got to know her and was even happier that she made you happy.
