Though I am sad for the loss that Linda and Leah suffered, I am lucky that I was welcomed into the lives of the Arnolds and Barrs as one of Leah's friends. I was one of the dozens of moths that were drawn to the flame of their warm love and presence. I send my love and prayers to all the family and friends including Bessy the dog too.

Dear Linda,
I just heard the sad news from Stuart Baker and am so very sad to lean that Jeff has died. This is the first I knew of his having lung cancer. My memories of Jeff are all fond ones. We both moved to the same housing development in Crystal Lake within a few months of one another (we lived a block or so apart)-- just before 7th grade. Until my family moved away for a year -- two years later -- we were constant companions - especially in the summer, swimming at the Betty Firth's house on the lake. By the time I moved back for our Sophmore year he was well established as an athlete in high school and a very popular guy. I was so glad to see you both at our 40th CLCHS reunion. Little did we know that it would be for the last time.
What a great guy, and what a shame to lose him so soon.

Dear Arnold Family, We are so sad that Jeff lost his hard-fought battle with cancer. At the same time, we are full of joy that he was blessed to have such a wonderful family and daughter who loved and supported him through each step.
I wish we were able to join you on Saturday but we'll sure be thinking of and praying for you tomorrow and each day following.
Much love.

Dear Leah and Linda,
We here are so sorry for your loss. Jeff was a great man who I will remember so fondly for his rainbow suspenders and the way Leah's tone of voice changed to that of a little girl when talking to her dad on the phone from Winona. Also, how Linda and Jeff made the most adorable couple with his enormity and Linda being so tiny. Leah fit perfectly right in the middle.
Lots of love and prayers are being sent your way.
