June Small Obituary

June K. Small, 87, of Hinckley, Ill., formerly of LaGrange, passed away Monday, July 3, 2006, at home.
Born June 15, 1919, in Chicago, she was the daughter of Herman and Lydia (Schmidt) Klemme. She was united in marriage to James E. Small; they spent many happy years together until his passing in 1980.
Mrs. Small attended Hope Lutheran Church in LaGrange. She was employed as a secretary for more than 20 years at Chicago Bridge & Iron in Oak Brook and later for several years at Liquid Aire in Countryside. June was a member of LaGrange Chapter 201 Order of the Eastern Star in Westchester for more than 50 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt who will be deeply missed by her family and many friends.
She is survived by two sons, Gregory (Susan) Small of Sunrise, Fla., and Geoffrey (Tamela) Small of Hinckley; eight grandchildren; a sister, Vera Strand of Stevens Point, Wis.; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, July 6, at Nash-Nelson Memorial Chapel, 141 N. Maple St. in Hinckley. Interment will be private. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Arrangements are by Nelson Funeral Homes & Crematory.
