LARRY DEWEY Obituary

PINCKNEYVILLE – Larry E. Dewey, 79, of Pinckneyville, Ill., passed away at 7:21 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 18, 2013, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Mount Vernon.
Born April 19, 1934, in DeKalb County, the son of Frank and Emma Cummings Dewey, he married June L. Hetherington Deppe on Nov. 26, 2005, in Arcola.
He was a retired truck driver for Gilster Mary Lee Corp. Larry was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church in Percy and was an avid gun shooter and he enjoyed going to tractor pulls.
Larry is survived by his wife, June Dewey of Pinckneyville; two sons and one daughter by a previous marriage; several grandchildren; one stepson, and his wife, children and grandchildren; and one sister, Doris (Wayne) Rissman of Shabbona.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents and one stepdaughter.
Memorial service was held Aug. 24, at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, with the Rev. Jim Barnett officiating. Burial will be at Ava Evergreen Cemetery at a later date.
Memorials can be given to the Wesley United Methodist Church in Percy or the United Methodist Church in Pinckneyville.
