Melinda K. Engel, age 63, of Hinckley, IL passed away on Monday, March 18, 2024 surrounded by her loving family at Mercy Center Hospital in Aurora, IL. She was born on November 18, 1960 in Sandwich, IL the daughter of Dwight and Patricia (Nelson) Klotz.
Melinda was united in marriage on February 19, 1983 on the Hawaiian Island of Kauai to Mr. Timothy W. Engel and they spent the next 41 years happily together. She was employed for many years by Farmers Insurance Group in Aurora, IL. Melinda then worked alongside her husband, Tim in his insurance agency. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt who will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Tim Engel of Hinckley, IL; her children, Hollie (Justin) Albers of Compton, IL, and Timothy D. (Alexsis Powlishta) Engel of Hinckley, IL; her grandchildren, Raelynn and Nash Albers; her sister, Vicky Wielert of Hinckley, IL; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Gay Coakley; and her two brothers-in-law, Barry Coakley and Randy Wielert.
Funeral Services for Melinda were private.

I am so sorry for your loss. Melinda was so good to my mother (Joyce Olsen). When she would drive by with Tim and Hollie, she would stop and have Tim take my mom´s newspaper that was thrown onto the sidewalk near the road, up to my Mom´s door. She was so very kind and thoughtful.
