Michael B. Cooper, age 65, passed away the morning of September 12, 2015, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Michael was born November 12, 1949, in Belvidere, IL the son of Vernon and Vesta Cooper. He was a graduate of Belvidere High School. On September 7, 1973, he married Patti Packer in Belvidere, IL. Michael was a carpenter by trade and enjoyed working with his hands, especially working on his home. He enjoyed traveling, camping, the beach, and rooting on his Green Bay Packers. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and family.

Michael is loved and missed by his wife, Patti Cooper; children, Stacey Cooper and Christopher (Colleen) Cooper; sisters and brothers, Patricia Norton, Lorrell (Shirley) Cooper, Kathy Swafford, Byron (Bonnie) Cooper, Jeanette (Bob) Corrigan, and Cynthia Snow; grandchildren, Abigail, Alivia, Aidan, and Ava; many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.

Michael is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Bronica Cooper; and a brother-in-law, Truman Norton.

Memorial visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 19, 2015, at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave, Belvidere, IL 61008, with a time of sharing at 1:00pm.
