Deepest Sympathy to the Boardman Family. As a young man joining the Student Book Store Group, Dick went out of his way to mentor me on operating a private bookstore. Dick & JoAnn came to Penn State for a NIU/Penn State game & it is a weekend I will always remember spending the time with them

Sending our sympathies to the Boardman girls and their families. I know that he was a very special guy and great Dad by the way Sally spoke of him. We were very glad to have met him.

Oh what wonderful memories. Being a good friend of Sally's, I have fond memories of both her parents. From hanging out at their house in the teenage years, to working at the bookstore, going on many Sanibel trips and Mr. Boardman helping me to get jobs at bookstores throughout college, and of course running into him (or stopping by) Oak Crest for visits. He will be missed. I know all the family feels very lucky to have such a great father and he will be missed. Thinking of them all..
