Ronald Riebe

Ronald Riebe, age 78, of Bourbonnais passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at Miller Health Care Center in Kankakee. He was born December 22, 1946 in Pontiac, IL, the son of John Henry & Mildred Ruth (Van Alstyne) Riebe.

Ronald was an accountant for Swift & Company and Bunge. He served as treasurer for the Village of Bourbonnais for over 35 years. Ronald was a member of the loyal order of the Moose. He was an avid golfer. He loved playing and watching golf for over 50 years. He was a disappointed Chicago Bears fan. Ron is beloved, well known, and respected by the Bourbonnais community. In addition to his many contributions, he'll be most remembered for his simple yet adequate responses when asked, "How are you doing Ron?" Okay or fine were always the one-word answers.

Ronald was of the Catholic faith.

Surviving are one sister, Mary Lynn Riebe of Denver, CO and a nephew, John Alan Folkers of El Paso, IL. Ronald is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Janet Riebe Folkers.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Inurnment will be held at a later date at St. John Catholic Cemetery in Cullom, IL.
