Mary Jane and Marcia, sending heartfelt thoughts and prayers to support you both in the sudden loss of your dear husband and father, Andy. I am so sorry that God called him home, as I know he was an integral part of both your lives, as you were in his. I will treasure the memories I have of you all together during the times we shared in family occasions. I still smile as I recall how he joked and was always upbeat around us. Perhaps there is a roundtable in heaven at which he, Jerry, Mary Jane's father, Aunt Millie, Nancy and Fred, can debate issues with the heavenly authority that we lack here. My husband Ray will, unfortunately, miss the fishing expedition that he and Andy hoped to accomplish someday when we are in the area. Sending our heartfelt prayers and wishes for your strength and courage in the coming months. Love, Jennifer Garcia

My deepest sympathy to you, Mary Jane, on the loss of your beloved Andy, and to you, Marcia, on the loss of your dear and delightful father. Especially in this moment of sorrow, I fondly recall my times with him, and relish his energy, wit, and no-nonsense view of the world before us.

Andy was a joy to be around and will never be forgotten. He journeyed this life with dignity, loyalty, and grace, a faithfully devoted family man, friend, and neighbor. We who knew him are richer in spirit for having shared time with him. May he rest at last, now, and forever know the peace that passes all understanding.

Andy was more like a great older brother to me, not only a cousin by marriage. His sense of humor was smart, his compassion for those suffering misfortune true, his love of animals, especially the "furry friends" he and Mary Jane adopted, was unconditional. I will long remember sharing cups of hot, strong steaming coffee with Andy (a good cuppa being important to his day), and I know I will miss his presence, albeit mostly long distance, forever. Here was a man who was a "regular guy" whom I loved from the moment I met him fifty years ago.
