John Wozny Obituary

Wozny, John W. Age 87, long-time resident of Chicago Heights, Steger and San Felipe, Mexico, passed away September 12, 2013. John was a noted author, journalist, historian, and businessman. Survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Patricia, and his beloved children, Donna (Alfred) Girolami, Thomas (Patti) and Timothy (Gini). Cherished grandfather to Tony and Gia Girolami, Tim (Amy), Patrick, Daniel (Allison), Tammy (Phil) Dallmeier, Tom (Nicole), Jennifer (Josh) Hendricker, Nicole (Phil) Buck and Teddy (Jenna). Great-grandfather to Abby, Alex, Ren, Grace, Sierra Sprague, Mckenna Anderson, Tyler and Alex Hendricker and Covey Buck. Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents Macimillian and Anna and sister Margaret Shelby. Memorial Visitation on Friday, September 27 from 9am until the time of prayer service at 11am at Kerr-Parzygnot Funeral Home, 540 Dixie Hwy, Chicago Heights. Inurnment: Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL (708) 754-0016.
