So sorry to find out about John Wright passing away. Gail introduced me to the world of raccoons and the two of them set up an enclosure on my deck years ago. I took in Cooner and Grace (separate times). Grace missed Gail so much that I had to return her. Gail knew this would be hard and gave me a resin raccoon statue. I cherish that gift.
In mid-May, memories flourished when I had to take the enclosure down to replace some damaged deck boards. I was saddened again with the loss of Gail and hoped John was okay because they seemed like such a close couple. Then in June, I read his obituary. The timing is interesting.
I rarely drive near Worth, but when I do, I happily recall a big friendly dog (I think a retriever) greeting me on the front lawn. There was such care in providing for animals, such as the big 12' double cage with a sturdy roof and big heated box that John built for Grace. They were great role models as parents, as well as for the community and anyone who knew them. My final thought is that as much as we miss them, they are together again.
