My wife, Maureen, and I met Ken in 1969 when he was 31 and had just finished building a split level home in Lemont. We were 23 and 20, bought the home, and Ken did a great job with the finishing touches he added. I wish we had stayed in touch as Ken was quite the character, and we really enjoyed him. But, as often happens, life got in the way, we moved 8 years later and just never reconnected. I know Maureen and I will always remember how great Ken was to us and how proud he was of his kids. He was always talking about them, and rightly so. Ken was a good guy and will be missed.
