Marvin A. Hackert

Marvin A. Hackert, 88 of Lake in The Hills formerly of Oak Forest passed away Thursday March 25, 2004 in his home following a battle with cancer. He was born January 28, 1916 in Chicago the son of Otto and Ivy Giesow Hackert. Marvin was employed by Lift Parts Mfg. before retiring in 1980. He stayed active his whole life. His great love was his family. Surviving are his wife of 64 years-Marie Kubal Hackert; Daughter-Janice M. McDonald of Lake in The Hills; 7 grandchildren-Mark [Denise] McDonald of Port Barrington, IL., Chris [Ronda] McDonald of Algonquin, Terry [Colleen] McDonald of Parker, Colo., Tom Massey Jr. of Highland, Ind., Brandon Hackert-Massey of Highland, Ind., Marianna Massey of Highland, Ind., Cody Otto Most of Highland, Ind.; 3 great grandchildren-Aidan, Maeve and Carly; son-in-law-Ralph Ritsma of Highland, Ind.; 1 sister-Delores Schaffer of Spring Hill, Fl.; 11 nieces and nephews, 28 great nieces and nephews and 10 great great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter-Toni Vee Massey-Most, Sister-Lois Newmann. All services will be private.
