I went to IIT with Ric (had same graduate advisor) and I just found he is no longer with us and really is saddend. Its been over twenty years since I last talked to him, prior to coming back home and alway wondered where he was and how he lived. He was indeed a person of much caring and had high moral standard. Work hard on what he was doing and really enjoyed having discussions with him. We both received the best paper award for our research at the same conference in 1981 and we were so happy for each other I very regret not having to talk him before his passing. He will be missed and be alway in my heart as a great person and a friend. My deepest condolences to the family.

Googled Ric today to find contact info. Had not spoken with him for 1-2 years. Just missed visiting with him and needed to "catch-up". Was absolutley shocked and saddened to instead find this site. Worked with Ric at Boeing Wichita and he was always a true and faithful friend, even after we went different directions in life. There are few genuine people born into this world, and we lost one of these few (but never in memory !!) My deepest sorrow and sympathy to the family - never forget Ric - I won't

Dear Kundrat Family,

Bill and I are so terribly sorry to hear of Ric's passing. He was a classmate of Bill's at IIT, attended our wedding, and remained in contact from time to time over the years. Hearing that he is no longer with us, has saddened both Bill and I. He will be missed.

Deepest Sympathy to Ric's family. He was always a thoughtful guy who loved his family and friends. Ric was really smart and always thinking and analyzing everything, sometimes this kept him from living in the now. The loss of his Mother last year and her disease really took a lot out of him. Alzheimer's disease, dementia and memory loss symptoms, are just challenging diseases and your loved one is not the person who raised you, which is so difficult to rationalize. Prayers to the family and Ric will be missed...

The light in the world is a little dimmer today as I learned about Ric's passing. A truly amazing, kind, generous and wonderful person, some of my fondest memories of my time in Chicago are with Ric. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

My deepest sympathies to the family of Rick Kundrat. Memory Eternal. I have known Rick nearly his entire working career as we both worked at Boeing in Wichita back in the early 80's and collaborated on many projects. Although our paths separated when I left Boeing we always kept in touch and I had privilege on several occasions to help Rick look for new jobs. Rick was always a people person and that always came through on our catch-up calls. Rick was a hard worker, professional, and knowledgeable about his profession. He will be sorely missed. May his memory be eternal.

I'm deeply saddened to hear that Rick left us. He was a big brother to me. We used to work together at Werner Co in 1999-2001. Since then, we've been in touch. He had a kind heart and was a nice human being. Few days ago, he endorsed some of my professional skills on LinkedIn network. I was thinking about calling him again. Last time I call him was a month ago when I left a message on his voice mail. I didn't hear from him. So I though he was busy. I'm going to miss him lot.

I know he loved his beloved Mom very much, his Mom's passing away hurt him a lot. I spoke with him several times at that time, in September 2012, if I can recall correctly. I'm going to miss Rick a lot.

Rick and I worked together at Werner and chatted often, usually starting with some kind to computer issue Rick was having but usually we quickly turned to just chatting. My deepest sympathies to his family.

Rick and I loved complaining about the White Sox, but were diehard fans for life. We worked together at Werner Co and enjoyed one of the best working environments either of us every had. Our discussions often ended up with remembrances of Werner-days and the great people we worked with. Rick loved his time at Werner. Go Sox!
