Ronald Weiland Obituary

Ronald E. Weiland Jr., Ron age 46, of Naperville, IL., formerly of Orland Park, IL. passed away Saturday, March 15, 2003 at his home. Born April 2, 1956 in Chicago, IL. He is survived by his wife, Deborah [nee Faber] Weiland of Naperville, IL.; a daughter, Kelly Weiland of Naperville, IL.; his parents, Ronald Sr. and Theresa Weiland of Orland Park, IL.; a sister, Debra [Mitch] Stanko of Plainfield, IL.; two nieces, Jennifer [Daniel] Kiernan of Homewood, IL., Sharon Brown of Island Lake, IL.; a nephew Robert Warner of Joliet, IL.; three great-nieces/nephews, Daniel Kiernan, Adam and Ashley Brown; his mother-in-law, Eileen Faber of Palatine, IL.; a brother-in-law, Tony [Patty] Kolarik of Spring Grove, IL. Preceded in death by his father-in-law James Faber. Mr. Weiland grew up in Orland Park and was a graduate of St. Michaels Grade School and Carl Sandburg High School Class of 1974. He received a B.S. in Zoology from DePauw University in Greencastle, IN., where he was affiliated with Sigma Chi Fraternity. Mr. Weiland was employed by U.S. Zinc Co., Chicago, IL., as a Regional Sales Manager. Mr. Weiland was a member of St. Thomas The Apostle Church, Naperville and was formerly a member of St. Michaels Church, Orland Park. He also was a member of Cress Creek Country Club in Naperville. He enjoyed tennis, golf, fishing and woodworking. Visitation Wednesday, March 19, 3 to 9 p.m. at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville, IL. Services will begin Thursday, March 20, 9:45 a.m. from Friedrich-Jones and will proceed to a 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 1500 Brookdale Rd., Naperville, IL. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, memorials to: Weiland Childrens Education Fund. For info. 630-355-0213

Debbie and Kelly...

Tom and I could barely believe it when we heard the terrbile news. We did not hear in time to make it to the wake, but please know we would have been there had we known, and our thoughts and prayers are with you both. We remember Ron as a major catalyst to the Vegas style fundraiser we had at your house. What fun we all had! There were many good times. Again, we are so very sorry.
