Dear Jon, and Elisie and Chet,

In 1953, as a senior at the U. of I., I student taught under your dad at Bloom Township. In 1990 I retired from teaching, after a really gratifying career. I have always credited Bill Shroyer for his outstanding mentoring and encouragement for getting me started right. For years we exchaged Christmas cards, with personal messages, and I always looked forward to hearing from him. All good wishes to you--
