Barbara Nez Obituary

Barbara Jean Nez, 58, of Farmington, passed away Thursday, Oct. 27, 2016, in Farmington. She was born Nov. 13, 1957, in Shiprock, the daughter of David H. Nez and Marcia Haskie. She was born to the Bear Clan and born for the Sleep Rock Clan. Her maternal clan is the tangle people and her paternal clan is coyote pass.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, David H. Nez and Marcia Haskie; brothers, Kenneth, Leonard, Michael and David Nez; and sisters, Elouise, Christine and Jennifer Nez. She is survived by her brother, Frankie Nez; and sisters, Lula Parrish and Joyce Nez Arthur.
A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2 at Cope Memorial Kirtland Chapel, #458 County Road 6100 in Kirtland with President Harry Begay conducting. Interment will follow in Toadlena. Pallbearers are Jeconiah Arthur, Josh Nez, Alec Nez, Antonio Begay, Jace Poncho and Khaiwan Samons. Barbara's care is entrusted to Cope Memorial Chapel of Kirtland, 458 Road 6100, 505-598-9636.
