Jessie Rose Scruggs
April 22, 1954 - Oct. 26, 2010
Jessie Rose Scruggs, 56, of Flora Vista, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2010. She was born April 22, 1954, in Grand Rapids, Mich., to Charles and Jane (Jackson) Finch.
Jessie's family moved to San Juan County in 1968. She graduated from Farmington High School in 1972 and from San Juan College in May of 1995.
Jessie enjoyed hand embroidery, quilting, reading and teaching children's Sunday School. She was secretary for the Southwest Kidney Support Group and was also a member of the National Federation of the Blind.
Jesse was preceded in death by her father, Charles H. Finch.
Jessie is survived by her sons, Scott Ryan Scruggs and Rickie Scruggs; her mother, Jane Nielson; brothers, Charles Finch and Jeff Finch; and sister, Lois Caron, as well as three grandchildren, Katie Scruggs, Nicky Scruggs and Tyler Scruggs.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 2, at Memory Gardens Cemetery, with Reverend Fermin Talamante officiating.
Pallbearers are Charles Finch, Robert Finch, Rick Scruggs and Rickie Scruggs.
Honorary pallbearers are Scott Scruggs and David Salazar.

My deepest sympathy to the family of jessie scruggs. I have had the pleasure of taking care of Jessie off and on over the past 6 years that I have been an RN. Jesse always had a strong will and determination. I know she will be greatly missed!!!
