Lyle Tinker Obituary
Lyle graduated from Aztec High School in 1951. He married Cleah Evans on January 25, 1952. They were married for 62 years. He served in the U.S. Army from 1952 to 1954. He then went to work for El Paso Natural Gas Company as a switcher. This was the beginning of a 42 and a half years career with El Paso. He was then promoted to sub foreman, foreman, cost center manager and then area manager. He was very knowledgeable about the operations of the field and plants. He was very conscientious and expected others to be the same way. Dad had a great work ethic that was taught by example. Needless to say he loved his career. He was a very honest man. You never had to question where you stood with him, you just knew. He loved his career, but his family was what he loved more than anything. Family gatherings, eating and visiting were always a highlight. He loved visiting and telling stories. He loved his grandkids and was very proud of them. Dad, we're going to miss those graham crackers, peanut butter and honey. We love you.
Lyle was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, George, Joseph (Jr.) and Virgil Tinker and a sister Leona Chandler.
Lyle leaves behind his wife Cleah (Evans) Tinker; daughters Beverly (Joe) Farrell, Shawna Martinez, and Glenna (Bob) Armenta; sister Barbara (Ray) Sutherland; grandchildren Brian Farrell, Cory Farrell and Demetrio Martinez and great-granddaughter Madison Farrell and many dear friends.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 27, at Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Home in Farmington.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 28, at the Bloomfield Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Stake Center, 804 W. Blanco Blvd., in Bloomfield, with Bishop Hank Starr conducting. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery, 6917 East Main St., in Farmington.
Lyle's care is entrusted to Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Home, 103 E. Ute St. in Farmington, 505-325-8688. Those who wish to express their condolences may do so at www.serenityandcompany.com.

My memories of Lyle and Chlea go back about 40 yrs. ago when I was a waitress at the tiangle where everyday Him and her came in for coffee, I always would think "I hope that someday I'll have Love like the two of them obviously had for one another" I've kept the memory alive when I think of the Love between a Man and his wife. God Bless the tinker family and remember, Love never dies.

Cleah and Family
I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Lyle. I have so many fond memories of him when he was my boss at El Paso. He was a wonderful person and such a great sense of humor. Your are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. May Our Lord Bless You and Comfort You.
