Travis Earle Emerson, 50, passed in Shiprock, NM on March 31st, 2021. Travis was born in Anaheim, CA on March 27th, 1971. He was a father, a grandfather, a brother, an artist, a cook, and an all-round hard worker.
Travis lived in Orange County, CA, Albuquerque, NM, Farmington, NM, and finally settled in Shiprock, NM with his family. He attended art shows across the southwest with his parents and close family. Travis later became an instrumentation technician at various companies.
Travis cared for his four children: Danielle S. Emerson, Truman C. Emerson, Taylor R. Emerson, and Sarah R. Emerson. They all lived together in Shiprock, NM for nearly eighteen years.
He is preceded in death by his father, Albert H. Emerson and mother, Betty J. Emerson.
Travis is survived by his older sister, Lucinda Emerson, older brother Anthony Emerson; daughters, Danielle S. Emerson, Taylor R. Emerson, and Sarah R. Emerson; son, Truman C. Emerson; and granddaughter, Adalynn Emerson. All will miss him dearly.
Travis will be cremated and is in the care of Desert View Funeral Home of Shiprock, NM.

I have known Travis since he was just a toddler, he held a place in my heart because he use 2 run off on his tricycle to my house which was 2 blocks away from his house! That little boy held a place in mi heart even yrz after his family moved to Kirtland, his mother was a dear friend of mine, but i lost touch w/them & i've only seen Travis again in his teen yrz, never knew what had become of him. I cried when i saw his name in the obit. To his children, i say, i am very sorry for the lost of your father, i will be prayin & add u, his children, in my heart also, i don't know or ever met you, i love also! And Cindy & Anthony, i will also be prayin for u both & may God graciously bless you & yours.

I was introduced to Travis about 5 years ago we spoke most every other day . He roomed at my home while he work here in North Dakota . He will be missed . Very best to his family as he was a part of mine
