George Farrell Obituary

George F. Farrell, Jr.

EDENTON - George Francis Farrell, Jr., 89, of Edenton House, 323 Medical Arts Drive, passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2018.

Mr. Farrell was born in Hartford, CT, on January 6, 1929, and was the son of the late George Francis, Sr. and Gladys Cole Farrell. A retired engineer and mathematician with the General Electric Corporation, he had been a member of the Chowan Ruritan Club, the Rocky Hock Lions Club, and had served on the Board of Directors for both the Arrowhead Property Owners Association and the Chowan Recreation and Beach Association. A veteran, he had served in the United States Navy during the Korean War.

Surviving are his wife of 44 years, Kathleen Ann Wildrick Farrell; his son, Joseph Michael Farrell of Providence, UT; a sister, Mary Delamada; two brothers, Charles and David Farrell; two grandchildren; and his dear friends and caregivers, Chuck and Brenda DeMoulin.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 17th, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton. Friends may join the family in the funeral home following the service.
