I worked with Mr Cartwright at Belk years ago. He was a very kind and sweet man. Always had a smile and kind word for everyone. He will be missed.

Mr. C was a great christian man that changed my life when he baptized me in January 1972. I was 22 years old. I still have his small new testament that he gave me after I was baptized. He was a great father-in-law for over 26 years and loved me through all the years that I knew him (47 years). He had a capacity to love others that is beyond compare. We had some wonderful talks and laughs throughout the years. He was a wonderful grandfather to David and Amanda, and he loved them very much. I know that he loved his great granddaughter Willow, and she loved him. I talked to David, and he wishes that he could be there. He loved his grandpa and will miss him greatly. He sends his love to all the family. The family will be in my prayers.
In Christian Love,
Leslie R. Patterson II (Uncle Leslie)
