Robin Ballard Obituary
ELIZABETH CITY - Robin Gallop Ballard, loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend of 109 Lisa's Way, Elizabeth City, NC entered into eternal rest on Thursday, September 24, 2015. Robin and her twin brother. Robert, Jr. was born Sunday, September 2, 1979.
A celebration of life will be held Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at 1:00PM at Olive Branch Missionary Baptist Church, Elizabeth City, NC.
Robin was a 1998 graduate of Northeastern High School. She received a B.S. Degree in Sociology from Elizabeth City State University in 2007. She received her Teaching Certification in Elementary Education in 2010. Robin and Keith were members of Harvest Christian Fellowship Church, Elizabeth City, NC.
Robin's sweet spirit will be remembered at Family Dollar and Wal-Mart Stores in Elizabeth City. Her greatest dream came to reality as she began teaching at Bearfield Elementary School in Ahoskie, NC in August. Her love and compassion for her students will be missed.
Robin leaves to cherish her memories: husband, Keith Ballard; daughter, Aaliyah Ballard; son, Kaden Ballard; mother, Alice Burton Gallop; father, Robert Gallop, Sr.; sister, Tammy (Ted) Sharp; two brothers, Robert (Bessie) Gallop, Jr. and Barry (Adrienne) Bright; nieces, Bailee Gallop, Crystal and Dana Bright; nephews, Terrell Sharp. Rashaun Gallop and Conrad Bright; great nephews, Deonte and Tiagian Bright; in-laws, Otis and Gloria Jean Ballard; grandmother in laws, Doris Wilson, Beulah Ballard and Frances Vendler; god parents, Evangelists Kenneth and Gwen Gallop Newton, Dr. Ceceil "Chris" Gallop and Eugene Patterson; god sister, Kimberly Gallop; best friend, Natalie (Ronald) White; god children, Malik Sears, Taniya White and Mya White. I just found out today that Robin passed. My husband was reading the paper and I happened to see a familiar face. I am in shock to know that such a sweet soul has left our world. I worked with robin at walmart a few years ago, and she always had nothing but kind words. She was always very encouraging and always helpful to those around her. She passed way too soon. Leaving behind such young children. I hope the family can heal in time. Never is death forgotten to those whom leave the biggest impressions on our hearts. Rest well robin, you were truly the light in a dark room.

I first met Robin when she worked at Family Dollar. She always had a pleasant smile and kind words. If I went in without my grandchildren, she'd always inquire how they were doing. She was such a loving and compassionate person. I recognized her at Walmart when she became employed there and I always chose her to checkout my purchases. She was so excited and thrilled when she became pregnant, as she adored and loved children. I know she will be greatly missed by her family. God has gained another angel. R.I.P. dear young friend

I'm so sorry to hear that Robin had passed away. Im deeply saddend. Robin and I went to Northeastern high school together. Seeing her at Walmart and talking with her you would think we spoke everyday. That's something I will remember your kindness and smile. God bless you all.
