Linda Gasper Obituary

ANSONIA -- Linda Lou (Coppess) Gasper of Ansonia, Ohio, age 84, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on July 9, 1941, she was the cherished daughter of Lowell (Dub) and Mary Helen Coppess of Ansonia, Ohio.

In addition to her parents, Linda is preceded in death by her sister in law, Judy Coppess.

Linda was married to the love of her life, Albert Gasper, for 64 wonderful years. Together, they built a beautiful life and raised four children: Todd (Michelle) Gasper, Troy (Pennie) Gasper, Tyrone (Lisa) Gasper, and Stefanie (Kerry) Zumbrun. All are still residents of Darke County Ohio. Linda is also survived by her siblings, Larry Coppess, John (Loretta) Coppess, and Jeanne Appleman. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who treasured every moment spent with her family.

Linda lived a life filled with joy, laughter, and love. She had a passion for bowling, traveling, playing games and cards, shopping, and striking up conversations with just about anyone-she never met a stranger. Family gatherings were among her favorite times, and she especially delighted in being surrounded by her 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She loved her family to pieces and was known as a great mom, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.

Throughout her life, Linda was a dedicated and hardworking woman. She spent many years at home raising her children before taking on a variety of roles, including work at C&W Factory, Lambert's Factory, as a secretary at Middleton Chicken Barn, and later as a buyer/seller and a bank teller for FRAM. After retirement, Linda worked at her dad's store, Coppess Super Valu. No matter the job, Linda gave it her all and was known for her strong work ethic and commitment.

In her retirement years, Linda enjoyed escaping to Florida, where she spent many happy days with friends, enjoying the sunshine and creating more cherished memories.

Linda's warmth, humor, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her family and the many lives she touched.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Linda by spending time with your loved ones-just as she always loved to do.

A visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 PM on Sunday, October 26, 2025 and again from 9:00-10:00 AM on Monday, October 27, 2025 at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville.

A celebration of Linda's life will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, October 27, 2025 at the funeral home with Pastor Randy Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Ansonia Cemetery.
