ARCANUM -- Sharon Elaine Karns, age 86, of Arcanum, OH, went to be with her Lord & Savior Jesus Christ on October 19, 2025. She passed peacefully with her daughters by her side.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Leon Karns (deceased 1989); parents, Dale & Ruth (Young) Etzler; sister, Marilyn Skillern (Walt); brother-in-law, Rex Karns and sister-in-law, Linda Papadopolous.
She is survived by her daughters, Tish Rademachir (Jeff), Sherri Kelly (Pat) and Stephanie Blier (Lucian); grandchildren, Nick Rademachir (Julie), Melissa Hittle (Tom), Corbin Blier (Nicole), Amanda Kelly, Evan Blier (Jessica) and Tyler Kelly (Dyana); great-grandchildren, Brooke & Hannah Rademachir, Lacy & Carson Hittle, Leon & Ronan Stormer, Emmalina, Xavier, Matteo and Ailani Kelly, Barrett, Nolan and James Blier; brother, Norm Etzler (Carol); sister, La Jeanne Riegle (Gary); sister-in-law Sue (Karns) Stammen and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was a 1959 graduate of Arcanum Butler High School and was a cheerleader on the 1956 State Basketball Team. She was a lifelong member of Faith UMC and shared her flowers with the church family. She loved supporting her grandchildren in sports and loved growing roses and working in her flower beds. Her interests include, helping with the election supper, youth breakfasts, pie sales, volunteering at school, visiting shut-ins and Geneology. She was part of the Sunny Side Club, Womans Christian Guild and Card Club.
Visitation for Sharon will be on Sunday, October 26, 2025, from 3-5 p.m. and Monday from 10-11 a.m. at Faith UMC, 101 E. South St. Arcanum, OH 45304. Funeral service will be on Monday, October 27, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Faith UMC. Interment will follow at Abbottsville Cemetery.
