Cathy, Antoinette, Shawn and to all the Raquel Family:
As I reminisce on the fond school memories I had of Tony, growing up and keeping in-touch as an adult, it just brings a smile and a sigh of relief to my heart. Knowing that the friendship we shared thru many years will always be treasured.
The best thing that happened was you, Cathy, when I introduced him to you back in 1974(at a Bar-B-Q), he had just come back from New Orleans(deep sea diving, after Wilm. Oceaneering School).
Now, that was a Bar-B-Q we'll never forget, you two have been together ever since.
God has blessed you both thru the years and our wonderful memories will linger on forever.
Cathy, keep strong and continue to praise God and one day you and Tony will re-unite and be together again in God's Castle of Love.
And Antoinette, you were his beautiful baby from the day you were born till now.
With warm regards to the whole family.

Your Friend for Life,
Irene Warth-Perez

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Our prayers go out to the Raquel family. I was Tonyos niehbor on Neptune and E street from the third grade on untill graduating from Banning High.
We walked to Hawaiian ave. school every day, without exception. We always played on the same teams togeather, baseball. football, and basketball. One year we went to districk finals in the punt, pass, and kick. Tony "Tonyo" as we called him was a outstanding athelete, plying nose guard his freshmen year for Banning Pilots varsity football team which was unheard of back then. After the military I moved away only seeing him briefly twice. I loved him like a brother and his wonderful mother like a mom who was like a sister to my mother, we were very connected, what a loving family

Cathy & Family,

The first time I met Tony, I was a teenager attending Victory Faith Center with my Aunt & Uncle. He was such a presence there as on of the ushers. as the years went by and & I worked with him on the waterfront, I always felt that same comfort and glorious presence when I would see him from my teenage years. god is a powerful man and to me, he always translated his presence when I would see Tony. I will miss his radiant smile.
God bless you Cathy. Yours Truly in the Lord,

Tony was one of the kindest, most unique persons I have ever known.I met Tony while we were both attending commercial diving school in 1974. We shared many experiences during and after our diver's training, those memories will remain forever in my heart. Our thoughts are with Kathy and her grown children during this difficult time.
I'll always love you brother, and I'm sad I was not there in your hour of need...........
